Cultivation and sustainable use of high-altitude medicinal and aromatic plants for the socio-economic development

With the financial support of National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, a two-days International Conference on Conservation and sustainable use of high altitude medicinal and aromatic plants for the socio-economic development has been organized by the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences, Uttarakhand Ayurved University, Dehradun on 29 and 30 November 2019 at Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun. This two-days international conference was inauguratetd by Minister of AYUSH and AYUSH Education, Govt. of Uttarakhand in the auspicious presence of Dy. CEO, NMPB, Officers of Uttarakhand Ayurved University and other renowned personality of the field of Medicinal Plants. More than 30 invited lectures and almost 140 other presentations have been conducted during the whole event in addition to the scientific discussion during each session. More than 350 participants from different countries attended the conference . Based on the scientific merits, three best oral presentations and three best poster presentations have been awarded during the valedictory function. Overall, the conference achieved a grand success as far as the outcome is concerned. The Conference has concluded its work successfully and scientists, students, farmers, academicians and industrialists have benefited from this conference in many ways.
